Dogs, like humans, may have a variety of friendships, and the best friendships might occasionally begin over the fence. This is the story of two dogs whose remarkable bond was hampered by a wall until their neighbors decided to devise an excellent solution for them.
The dog brothers Bambino and Vito are Great Danes, which means they are taller than most dogs. The dog brothers have no trouble seeing over their neighbors’ yards since they are tall, but they were overjoyed when a chocolate lab moved in. However, the sweet lab was not as tall as the neighbors, and he struggled to greet his new neighbors.
“He has tried many times to jump up and get a good whiff of his big doggy friends whenever we’re all outside,” Afton Tarin, owner of Vito and Bambino, told The Dodo.
Gieuseppe’s owner Robert Carnes watched from behind the fence how his pooch tried so hard to see his neighbours and told him in a joke way “If you only had a step stool.”
They realized that the idea wasn’t as crazy after all since he had a step stool he placed in front of the fence so his dog could use it, so the friends could be able to meet each other face to face.
“My initial reaction was to bust up laughing,” Afton told The Dodo. “Seeing his little feet fully extended and his tail all blurred out from wagging too fast, I couldn’t help it. So stinkin’ cute.”
“It definitely gives you that feel-good feeling.”
