Journalist Makes Photos of an Exceptionally Rare Baby Reindeer While Exploring Norway’s Landscape

An exceptionally rare baby deer was lately noticed in Oslo by a wildlife writer and journalist Mads Nordsveen. The scene was similar to those from fairy tales and the photos look amazing.

“I was exploring a part of the mountains while searching for the perfect places to make my photos and the cute animal showed up in front of my camera out of nowhere. The baby deer had a completely black color so the snow camouflaged its body very well. But the animal did not want to hide so I managed to take great shots,” Mads Nordsveen said.

However, this journalist did not get just the pictures from this experience. “The adorable baby deer came very near me and it looked me directly in my eyes,” Nordsveen stressed. In a minute or two, the mother deer showed up behind the trees in the background so I can see it too. The baby still stayed in my presence for a couple of minutes and then moved back to its mother. It was truly an inspiration and an unforgettable moment in the open nature of Norway.

The uncommon genetic mutations are deserved for the pigmentation of this animal spice so these animals have the same color as the snow. However, their eyes and antlers still stay dark despite the mutation.
